The Justice Department on Monday announced charges for 324 people, including nearly 100 medical professionals, in what the DOJ called the largest healthcare fraud takedown in U.S. history.
The $14.6 billion crackdown spanned all 50 states and included charges ranging from opioid trafficking and telemedicine fraud to transnational identity theft schemes. Of the total charged, 77 defendants were prosecuted by state attorneys general, while the remaining 247 face federal charges. Authorities said they seized over $245 million in cash, luxury vehicles, cryptocurrency, and other assets. More
The mean size of the 324 perps’ piles of pilferage is just over $45 million. EACH.
I wonder how many were illegals in this country?
So 0.001% of the problem has been addressed. KEEP GOING!!!!
This probably would not have come to light under Joe B., AKA Senor Poopy Pants.
Time to change how justice is doled out. Not jail, execute. Criminals must be retaught to fear the punishment.
