Trump Administration to Reduce U.S. Military Presence in Syria

Breitbart–

U.S. Ambassador to Turkey and President Donald Trump’s special envoy to Syria, Thomas Barrack, said this week that the United States will scale down its military presence in Syria, going from eight military bases to just one.

The decision, Barrack said, is part of a shift in the United States’ policies on Syria “because none of them worked” over the past 100 years.

Barrack spoke on Monday with the Turkish news channel NTN on several topics such as the Ukraine-Russia war, the ongoing conflict in Gaza, and Turkey-U.S. relations. Asked what kind of policy the United States seeks to implement on Syria, Barrack assured the interviewer, “Our current Syria policy will not be close to our Syria policy of the last 100 years, because none of them worked.” read more

  1. Sounds good! Now, President Trump, please add to your list countries being overrun by mahammadmen invaders and where we have tons of troops and materiel: UK and Germany. The barbarians are long since through the gates and are very soon to be in complete totalitarian control in both those benighted nations.

  2. Pretty sure our Barbary Coast policies have never worked. But it did give the Marines a cool nickname and anthem.

  3. Excellent!

Uncle Al, totally agree. Not only do we need to stop sending money to foreign countries, we need to stop sending our military and resources there, too.

Chronic failure has never stopped our double-down FoPo geniuses before, and if a single base gets closed by 2029, I will be amazed. After all, the deep state and pentagon have thwarted PDT in Syria before. Not that long ago, I remember when Israel, Turkey and our HTS terrorist buddies divvied up Syria, and everybody was celebrating what a big black eye this was for Russia. Yet their bases still remain there, and they could end up with more bases than us.

Having said that, it’s possible that our military is in a strategic withdrawal from its middle east police phase, and that is probably a good thing. I’m glad our navy declared victory and sailed away from Yemen before any more planes and drones were lost, or ships were (allegedly) damaged. And it sure seems like somebody shut the neocons up about attacking Iran. Now if we can just get them the hell out of Ukraine…
