President Trump on Monday evening announced that Israel and Iran have agreed to a total ceasefire in 6 hours.

“CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE! It has been fully agreed by and between Israel and Iran that there will be a Complete and Total CEASEFIRE (in approximately 6 hours from now, when Israel and Iran have wound down and completed their in progress, final missions!), for 12 hours, at which point the War will be considered, ENDED! Officially, Iran will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 12th Hour, Israel will start the CEASEFIRE and, upon the 24th Hour, an Official END to THE 12 DAY WAR will be saluted by the World. During each CEASEFIRE, the other side will remain PEACEFUL and RESPECTFUL. On the assumption that everything works as it should, which it will, I would like to congratulate both Countries, Israel and Iran, on having the Stamina, Courage, and Intelligence to end, what should be called, “THE 12 DAY WAR.” This is a War that could have gone on for years, and destroyed the entire Middle East, but it didn’t, and never will!   1. I’m very, very glad to hear this. It’s wonderful news!
    I’m mildly surprised, but that’s on me.

    This tends to support the position of those who’ve said that Saturday’s (forewarned) bombing was part of a set piece designed to lead to an overall lessening of belligerence by all parties. I hope that’s what this represents, and I sure hope it works now that…
    — the U.S. has attacked Iran’s nuke tech sites
    — Israel has also attacked those sites
    — Iran has attacked a U.S. base in, Yemen was it?
    — “World leaders” have all had their PR moments

    And to our country’s infestation of prog/lib/dems: go eat worms.

  2. It’s a little odd, because somehow Iran has agreed to a ceasefire that begins AFTER Israel completes its current bombing runs. We’ll see if Israel bombs a lot between now and 6 hours from now, and whether that changes Iran’s mind.

  8. The Iranian people have been calling and protesting (until they’ve been killed-off) for regime change for decades. A regime change would be very welcome indeed. It’s not likely this current regime will acquiesce. Trump may have threatened Iran’s supreme ruler with pictures of his house and hide-outs.

  14. So, the consensus is that Iran’s enriched, fissionable material had been removed from the three sites we hit – or we wouldn’t have hit them in the first place which would have caused a radioactive catastrophe.

    So, do we get an accounting of where their bomb-grade material is and what will become of it?

    Because if they’re not allowed in the Nuclear club, they have to cough-up that material.

    Asking for 350 million Americans.

    Trump just said that both Iran and Israel broke the ceasefire. It seemed to me that allowing the bombing missions that were in the air to continue wasn’t exactly peaceful.
