5 Comments on Trump Effect Continues: Panama Bends The Knee, Will Not Renew “Silk Road” Deal With China After Rubio Visit
I think it’s fair to say Rubio is kicking ass and taking names. They all are really. But I didn’t expect Rubio to be such a pit bull. If we get Patel and Gabbard confirmed it’s checkmate, game over.

How does it happen that an insane fed govt under Carter gives away such a huge asset – the Panama Canal- and successive Fed govts do nothing and permit China to manage it?
It is beyond understanding- insane and disturbing.

Rubio is surprising the hell out of me also. Always viewed him on the timid side.
It’s nice to be wrong sometimes.

Rubio’s greatest obstacle is the back stabbers and traitors in the shadows of the State Dept. Well done, indeed.

It’s not just Rubio. We already knew Vance was brilliant at tackling the media but I’m totally stunned by Hegseth & Noem also. They didn’t just hit the ground running. They’re mini-tornadoes. People talk about the Trump Effect and mostly they’re talking about his Art of the Deal diplomacy. But I think the real Trump effect is the gift he has given both the nation and the GOP in spotlighting these young(ish) current and future leaders. Amazing.
But what I really want to know is what exactly went on at Mar Lago between the election & inauguration to prep them for this. Because, wow, they are all fantastic but even more interesting they are all totally on the same page. The Dems do not know what to do because that is usually their strength.
