Trump Issues Executive Order to Mitigate Wildfires

Breitbart: President Donald Trump signed an executive order Thursday to help prevent and mitigate wildfires through better forest management, and through improving cooperation between relevant government departments.

In particular, the executive order calls for brush clearance — what Trump has called “raking the forests.” more

  1. We need to start logging again. I was up in Yreka Cali, use to be big time logging, and there’s lots of talk about bonds and money being appropriated to rebuild lumber mills. The logging companies did a fantastic job of managing our forests. Our forests need thinned out. Badly.

  2. This wouldn’t have happened if we all went back to paper bags. lol
But seriously, I don’t want to hear another word about microplastics and all that other stuff, until they go back to paper and glass containers. And leave the petroleum for equipment and medical supplies.

The greensocialist are only in it for cash and for busywork for the number of morons who wrap themselves in climate change.

  3. Periodic controlled burns to clear out the dead underbrush and turn it into ash “fertilizer”. This keeps the underbrush down to where any fires are low, unlike the recent thinking of NO BURNS, then when the area catches fire (as it inevitably will), you have a HUGE burn to deal with.
(research the Yellowstone fire of 1988 & the California “Freedom” fire of 2021)

Controlled burning also activates certain seeds that are only released by heat/burns.

  4. Newscum’s lawyer’s secretary must be getting really sore fingertips from typing up all these BOGUS lawsuits of which this will probably be another one claiming Trump can’t tell him how to manage his forests.

  5. I went to the Forestry College in Susanville back in the 60s and there was lots of logging and JOBS. It was all done with sustained growth and renewal in mind. There were lots of mills around. Then the environuts were cut loose by the Sierra Club and the Forest Service was taken over by them. Trump should clean house at the Forest Service, BLM (not the black thing) and the entire Dept of Agriculture.

  6. This sounds like a great repurpose of the A-10 Warthog of which 100’s will be available to dump scoop bags of water on the fires, keeping their legacy alive along with keeping people working manufacturing spare parts to proper inventory levels to prevent long wait times for these replacement parts.

  7. Worked in the lumber industry in Northern Michigan for a couple years. Large hardwood was cut in 10 ft sections for the lumber mills. Undesirable was chipped and taken to Alpena for chipboard and crap wood was chipped and sent to Lincoln where it is burned for electricity production.
    There was little waste.
