EAG:HOUSTON – A Texas billionaire is waging a campaign to educate college students about the importance of free enterprise, a concept he believes millennials don’t fully understand.
Robert McNair, owner of the Houston Titans, recently launched Centers for Entrepreneurism and Free Enterprise at the University of South Carolina, Rice University, Columbia College, Northwood University, Houston Baptist University and the University of St. Thomas in Houston in hopes of creating a “new generation of entrepreneurial leaders,” the Daily Caller reports.
“We don’t educate our students on finances and economics, and as a result they get most of their information from media in 20-second soundbites,” McNair told the news site. “That leaves them with the impression that the government controls the economy and is the source of jobs.”

OMG, y-y-you mean… it's NOT the guvmint?
OMG. OMG.
#WhoMakesAllTheFuckingJobsAnyway
OMG. OMFG.
So, for upwards of $20,000 to $50,000 a year “We don’t educate our students on finances and economics,…”
Maybe that’s why foolish parents and students keep paying $20,000 to $50,000 a year for Universities that don’t teach.
He should throw in some American History as an added bonus, it’s not taught as well.
Houston TEXANS thank you very much
He might open an adjunct at each of the NFL teams to help explain how political activities on the job will reflect in the teams income statements and the player bonus. Kidding aside, it’s a good idea. Hell maybe some of the rich endowers to universities want to change a few percentage points of their gifts to scholarships to students who write the best 5 pages on the relationship of the free market to political freedom or how the Electoral College is actually another check the fathers put in to stop dictatorships. Make a millennial think for a few hours and you may see lightbulbs going on all over the country.
I applaud the effort. But it might be like talking to a pile of stones that can hurl themselves at you.
He should join efforts with the Ayn Rand Institute. ARI can teach the philosophy, Mr McNair can teach the economics. And throw in a class or two at Hillsdale College. A perfect trifecta.
