The Pillar: A change to U.S. visa policy is set next week to make it more difficult — if not impossible — for many religious sisters to enter the U.S., and could soon keep contemplative nuns and others from gaining permanent residency in the country.
With a visa program for non-ordained religious workers due to expire March 13, the USCCB told The Pillar Wednesday that its expiration could hit rural and underserved dioceses especially hard.
The EB-4 non-minister special immigration religious workers visa program will close March 13, at the end of a short-term extension signed in December last year.

Well, most of them are communist lesbians anywho.
I learned a lot from sister Mary Elephant
Can’t validate Mule’s comment, but having spend a SHORT time in seminary it gave me the ability to walk away from all of it. We did have the nuns doing all the kitchen and laundry work. Italian, with most having no English and don’t believe they would have fit Mule’s description.

Why would Visa take away their credit cards?
Why would they need to import Nuns into this country? Aren’t they just as useful in other parts of the world or are the people already saved there?
Let the Vatican buy Gold Visa Cards for them and spend some of the TRILLIONS of dollars it sits on. That way they can also be vetted before entering.
Vetted? By the Vatican at THIS point in time?
How about being vetted by Abp. Vigano instead?

My inclination is that would be the case. Statistically speaking “nuns” outnumber nuns by a wide margin. The former are progressive/Marxist/Satanists and infiltrators the latter are true to their mission and their mission is authentic and to be supported.
As for the USCCB, there are good, honest men therein. But the USCCB itself, as things currently stand, contemptible is too mild a word

Oath of Poverty.
If you read the comments at the end of the “pillar” by Patricia, she has it backwards President Trump doesn’t need to show he is a friend to the Church. Catholic Charities needs to show it is not an enemy of the U.S. They are the ones taking millions to cram illegals into our country.
Sister Consuela Ramirez: “Isn’t there any way I can stay”?
Tom Homan: “Sorry, none”.
The Catholic Church is the largest non governmental provider of education and medical services in the world.
The Catholic Church was also one of the largest organizations sucking on the Deep State teat to bring in, move around, shelter and support illegal immigrants. Big surprise that they were against border walls (in the USA, *NOT* so much their walls around the Vatican) when they were making so much money from our laws being violated.
The fact is that the Catholic Church was also, at the very least, indirectly connected with the massive sexual trafficking of undocumented minors. Given their past history, that’s certainly an angle that could use more discussion and investigation; especially if they want to play “holier than thou” against everyone else.
Exactly, Anonymous the Elder. The Catholic Church has done more harm than good. In particular, the misinterpretation of the Word of God. Christ is the only mediator between God and man – not priests, nuns, especially not Mary.
99th: Next time you pick up a Bible, thank a Catholic saint. For the first 1500 years after Christ established His Church, all Christians believed essentially the same things as Catholics today.
Speaking of the Catholic Church,
I’ll bet they did nazi that coming.
The Lutherans are in on the illegal immigrant scam too.
I’m not sure what I think about this yet… At first it seems that we are throwing the sweet little nuns out with the bathwater. But then it strikes me that the charity work they do falls into the category of “jobs Americans won’t do” and the solution lies in encouraging our children to consider religious vocations.
I have been aware for years –and not a supporter– of the NGO scam that Catholic Charities, Lutheran Relief Services, and other religious organizations profited by in the illegal migration of undocumented aliens. (On the flip side, many religiously affiliated charity hospitals have been forced to sell out to corporate entities because their government funds required them to perform abortions and other unethical procedures.)
The Catholic Church in America has become too dependent on foreign clergy and government funds. It could use a good DOGE –and a lot of transparency too.
Tony R. Respectfully, I think I made the point Christians do not believe exactly the same as Catholics. Anyone who knows Christ as Savior and Lord is a saint, btw. Everything and everyone in the Holy Bible are teachable elements and guidance, that I’m sure we agree on.
However, the apostles, teachers, preachers, evangelists, prophets etc. of The Holy Bible are inspirational and cautionary, not part of the Godhead aka The Trinity.
Their obedience to God is all the credit they get.
As a Christians our faith should be grounded in The Word of God. Knowing Him through Christ, our Intercessor and Christ’s continued ministry through He, The Holy Spirit. That’s it. No saints get credit for any doctrine God originated.
“For the first 1500 years after Christ established His Church, all Christians believed essentially the same things as Catholics today.”
If that history is true, it shows that many Christians were doctrinally in error and deceived. I thank no one except God for the Word.

My prayer is you have a better understanding of an accurate, personal relationship with a God.
During WW2 Catholic priests saved many Jewish lives and some even Died trying. Most churches do try to help.illegals not just Catholic churches. You all haters remind me of those vicious democrats spewing out hate about what they know nothing about..
99th: My “understanding of an accurate, personal relationship with a God” is just fine, thank you, and is based on 2000 years of Church history. God bless you.
