When It Becomes Impossible to Parody the Absurd

The person who established the satirical radical feminist site, Medusa Magazine, threw in the towel this week.  In the final post they say, “We are shutting down our rather hilarious project because we can no longer compete with our competition. We have come to realize that our competition is not other satirical websites, but rather the people we are trying to satirize.”

  1. If’s there one fewer place for sarcasm and human introspection then that is a sadness.

    We live in the theater of the absurd so let’s flaunt it!

  2. Adapt, improvise, overcome. If your war of ideas gets curbed, you weren’t doing it well or your ideas sucked.

    People are constantly surprised when their raison de vivre gets short shrifted because it was shit to start with.

  3. Never heard of them ’till today, but it’s quite funny material. Of what I’ve read, I can’t imagine that anybody took any of it seriously, though.
