Also, they need an American Pope to relate to President Trump for possible funds for the Vatican (good luck with that,LOL!)- another avenue for grifting.

I am not a Catholic and I wish them well, but they may have made a mistake, but we’ll just have to wait and see if he’s as bad or worse than Pope Frankie was. Was there anything wrong with that black bishop from Africa or was he the wrong color or an actual Christian?

I wouldn’t say that. Francis was a disaster for the Catholic church. The American Catholic Church is much more traditional and had real heart burn over his progressive “Anti Catholic” beliefs. I’m not Catholic but everyone else in the family is. I’m the guy that’s still sitting in the pew when they’re serving up the wine and crackers. Most of our friends are Catholic. Francis was pretty much ignored by our parish. Traditional Christian values were still the content of Mass. If most of the Parishes are as traditional as ours I can see some sort of split occurring if the new guy continues to push the progressive ideology. Maybe that’s why the elected an American. I dunno.
