WNBA Star Says League is 98% Gay and You’re Bullied For Being Straight

Candice Wiggins says 98 percent of WNBA is gay, claims she was bullied for being straight.

“Me being heterosexual and straight, and being vocal in my identity as a straight woman was huge,” Wiggins said. “I would say 98 percent of the women in the WNBA are gay women. It was a conformist type of place. There was a whole different set of rules they (the other players) could apply. […]

“People were deliberately trying to hurt me all of the time. I had never been called the B-word so many times in my life than I was in my rookie season. I’d never been thrown to the ground so much. The message was: ‘We want you to know we don’t like you.’” […]

“It comes to a point where you get compared so much to the men, you come to mirror the men,’ she said. “So many people think you have to look like a man, play like a man to get respect. I was the opposite. I was proud to a be a woman, and it didn’t fit well in that culture.”

  1. This is creepy. I certainly do not mind (tasteful) gay. At the same time, it is soooooo much “with us” today it seems to be rotting at the root of culture.

Can America survive another hundred years of this? I won’t be around to see. ….Lady in Red

  2. Well, there are very few WNBA women who PLAY like a man, let alone RUN like a man. In order to run like a man, you have to have the upper body strength of a man or your entire frame is out of control. Watch how most women run. Usually, only female track stars have it.

(I know this isn’t the point… but the WNBA is hard to watch just based on this alone, regardless of sexual orientation.)

  3. Ninety-Eight percent are LESBIANS?! Hmmm, if I own the WNBA I’d start thinking about hiring really good looking tall woman lesbians, changing the uniforms a touch and revising the rules about fouling, shoving whatever, lower the baskets and start over. A bunch of good looking dykes banging up and down the court, grabbing and pushing at each other in kind of skimpy uniforms and you might actually get an audience. Yes, I know I’m a pig. 🙂

  4. I went to a WNBA game in Orlando almost 20 years ago and immediately noticed that the audience was almost 100% gay, mostly women. I labeled it “Lezzy Night Out” and never went back.

  5. I foresee great success for the first sports network to arrange women’s beach volleyball.

    Possibly with Brazilian thongs.

Commercials would feature beer and the latest AR-15 accessories.

Call it SWG, the Straight White Guys network.

The viewership is out there, waiting.
