Stunt Driver in Dukes of Hazzard’ General Lee Car Jumps Kentucky Fountain.
That’s just a little bit more than the law will allow. 😂

IOTW True Story
My First Car was in a Movie
My First Place was in it too
SIDEBAR:
No one really knows for sure but I’ve read that the best estimate is somewhere over 300 (THREE HUNDRED) 1969 Dodge Chargers were used to depict the General Lee over the life of the series. There was a fairly high attrition rate, duh.
@Uncle Al
I suspect this wasn’t a real 69 Charger. It’s probably a racing chassis wrapped in aftermarket sheet metal.
In one video you can see the driver bouncing around when it hit the street. That guy is nuts!
I’ll never poke fun at Kentucky again. Awesome.
According to Google Earth map,
The location of that first place
Is now a suburban cul-de-sac
Back then it was a closed ended dirt road in the woods
The Whoop-de-do drop you had to hit at 60
Is now a 30 or less avenue with red lights
Oh well
I did win
And even got some medals

Great Movie
Cuff ’em and stuff ’em! Kew-kew-kew-kew!
Straightening the curves, flattening the hills. Someday the mountain might get ’em But the law never will.
I wanted to go into town to see this but I didn’t feel like the walking and the crowds. Not to mention the heat.
Well, at least the fountain wasn’t flowing in rainbow colors…
Gosh folks, I must be too old to think about it but those guys laying on the roof with heads dangling over the edge just gives me willies.
@Uncle Al
I know the guy that scoured the countryside for 69 Chargers for the show. As the 69’s got scarce they used 70’s swapping out the grills. He found some special editions and one-off’s that he purchased for himself. He drove a Charger the rest of his life.
