It was his last Christmas.
Rest in peace.
Honestly, I expected this to happen years ago.
Lead Salad – Oooh you baaad! lol
So many musicians lost this year. RIP.
Never a fan. 53 is a little over half a lifetime these days. I wonder what was the cause?
I could speculate, but it’s Christmas.
Holy cannoli! All this time I thought he was much older than me! I was a huge fan. Great music. Greater music videos. I loved ’80’s music and it was the decade of great music videos.
(warning: personal info: My first husband died suddenly about the time that this song came out and it perfectly described ‘us’. Abigail Adams is the woman in the white trench.)

Never a big fan of the British sexually confused rockers. Explains why the British men cave so easy to the Muslims. RIP.
Another homo I assume
53 is young but he burned the candle at both ends. His “Freedom” video was memorable.
George Michael was big into concerts for AIDS charities and he was openly gay, and a drug uszer. One can only speculate until the real cause is known as to how he died. People suspected drugs for Princes death but it was flatly denied because he was a vegetarian. As it turns out it was drugs and not the minestrone soup that killed him. I’ll put money down on complications from AIDS, second drugs.
Whatever is said to deride him, no one can assail his enormous talent. He’s probably got a mom and and dad, siblings, friends still alive who will miss him so dearly. It’s a shame to lose these talented people.
No sympathy here, never liked his music or his openly faggotized antics, as far as i’m concerned, he’s just another flaming dick smoker who bit the dust.
I’m sure he was the British version of a progressive liberal.
Talented singer. Fifty three is much to young to die today. Lifestyles can kill. Sad.

To paraphrase Barky, erections have consequences.
Please stop confusing popularity with talent.
Will Penny: That’s always the way, ain’t it?
Alex: What’s always the way?
Will Penny: Let a man die, right away he’s “good, old Claude”. How was he *before* he bucked out?
Ain’t no talent big enough to give’em a pass for their choices when they were alive, the exception is, Grace. Still gotta stand before the Judge just as anyone else who’s talent isn’t judged by mere mortals.
He went like Freddy Mercury did, another great entertainer.
Well, looks like he bit the weenie.
Had to look up his name, sounded familiar but I turned the channel every time I heard his music.
Sorry about that.
Men’s Room Rest Stops are a safer place tonight … sucks to be him
… too early?
@BigGun, that’s one of my favorite movies. 🙂
Gut-shot.
“Ashes to ashes and dust to dust. If you’d liked vagina, you’d still be with us.”
Always liked him. Sad to see him die so young.
That being said:
@Claude Balcz — your comment made me and hubby spew our late night cocktail! 🙂
George Michael really loved the cock. Not sure if I buy into the ‘heart attack’ at 53 tho.
Wasn’t he about half dead a few years ago? Heart attack they are saying. Found dead. Or as we call in at work, DRT. Dead, right there. Never liked any of the British fudge invasion, maybe some of Eltons earlier stuff, but that was all.
Wake Me Up Before You Blow Blow
Damn.
2016 is eliminating the music from my growing up soundtrack. Prince, David Bowie, Glenn Frey and now George Michael. Anyone know if John Mellencamp has quit smoking yet?
*sigh*
Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon them. May they rest in peace. Amen.
RIP
Can’t say I enjoyed his work – can’t recall a single example.
izlamo delenda est …
Drugs are bad for you
As gay as he was, he had the hottest women in his videos.
Check out the video that Dan Ryan Galt posted – George Michael covering ‘Somebody to Love’ with Queen backing him. He was an absolutely amazing vocalist. I don’t know much else about him, but that performance was a very worthy tribute to Freddie Mercury’s original.
Meh. The 80s…couldn’t stand all that stuff .
