  1. Holy cannoli! All this time I thought he was much older than me! I was a huge fan. Great music. Greater music videos. I loved ’80’s music and it was the decade of great music videos.

(warning: personal info: My first husband died suddenly about the time that this song came out and it perfectly described ‘us’. Abigail Adams is the woman in the white trench.)

  2. George Michael was big into concerts for AIDS charities and he was openly gay, and a drug uszer. One can only speculate until the real cause is known as to how he died. People suspected drugs for Princes death but it was flatly denied because he was a vegetarian. As it turns out it was drugs and not the minestrone soup that killed him. I’ll put money down on complications from AIDS, second drugs.

  3. Whatever is said to deride him, no one can assail his enormous talent. He’s probably got a mom and and dad, siblings, friends still alive who will miss him so dearly. It’s a shame to lose these talented people.

  4. Will Penny: That’s always the way, ain’t it?
    Alex: What’s always the way?
Will Penny: Let a man die, right away he’s “good, old Claude”. How was he *before* he bucked out?

Ain’t no talent big enough to give’em a pass for their choices when they were alive, the exception is, Grace. Still gotta stand before the Judge just as anyone else who’s talent isn’t judged by mere mortals.

  5. Damn.
2016 is eliminating the music from my growing up soundtrack. Prince, David Bowie, Glenn Frey and now George Michael. Anyone know if John Mellencamp has quit smoking yet?
    *sigh*

  6. Check out the video that Dan Ryan Galt posted – George Michael covering ‘Somebody to Love’ with Queen backing him. He was an absolutely amazing vocalist. I don’t know much else about him, but that performance was a very worthy tribute to Freddie Mercury’s original.
