No criminal contempt charges against former IRS official Lois Lerner

FOX- The Justice Department will not seek criminal contempt charges against former IRS official Lois Lerner, the central figure in a scandal that erupted over whether the tax agency improperly targeted conservative political groups.

Ronald Machen, the former U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, told House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) in a seven-page letter this week that he would not bring a criminal case to a grand jury over Lerner’s refusal to testify before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee in March 2014. The House approved a criminal contempt resolution against Lerner in May 2014, and Machen’s office has been reviewing the issue since then.

  1. charges? why would the mob off a loyal capo like lerner?
she was loyal and didn’t squeal.
not like ole bob menendez who told obama off over the iran scandal.
ole bob’s been brought up on corruption charges sure enough for opening his mouth.
now you know why mcconnell and boehner don’t try to stop obama, he’s got the goods on them and will bring them down if they squeal like menendez.
we have the gangster government we deserve.
the only one who can stop obama is the private citizens of the country getting up and physically stopping him.

  2. let’s hope that when Sen Cruz becomes President Cruz, his Justice Dept will “re-visit” the decision not to prosecute.

/off topic – hey! I just thought up another catch-phrase.
The Justice Dept’s job is to prosecute. Under Mr Obama, the Justice Depts’ job is to persecute.
