Beautiful. Thank you! ๐โค๏ธ
That would be a Ghetto Blaster or maybe a Third World Briefcase.
There was no draft after the Vietnam War and i considered enlisting but went to work instead. Iโve felt guilty about that, especially on days like this. Thank you to all that served!

The best tribute would be to hang all those who led us into no-win wars. Then hang all those who surrendered what had already been won.
I………Love……..These……..Videos!!!!!!
It is the veterans (like myself) who lament the sorry state of our current military the most, lack of leadership, patriotism and obligation to duty, and their total abandonment of warfighting in favor of woke ideology. Clay Higgins said it best;

I thank God that I was around and Reagan made us all proud to be Americans, but Trump he’s me remember.
Awesome video. I’ve been in tears today out of sincere gratitude and remembrance of the sacrifice all members of our US military who served have made. Especially, those who abided by their oaths to defend the US Constitution and sovereignty under God.
Thanks in particular, all the iotwr veterans for your service. So proud of you all. Thank you!
Rich Taylor, thank you so much for your service!
Today I honor my wife’s 98 year old dad who served in WW2, and her son with 23 years in the USCG. I spent 10 years in the Reserves myself, and loved every minute of it.
God Bless every person who ever took the oath.
Gotta love Reagan’s speeches, the ‘Boys of Point du Hoc’ is another I like to listen to on Veterans and Memorial Day.
Today I honor my dad (of blessed memory) for his service in the Navy, post-NoKo “confict” as a ship’s radioman.
I honor my eldest brother for his service — 2 deployments in Vietnam, Marine Corps. (My second eldest would have served but was crippled by polio as a child.)
As for me, I slapped a “Aim High, Air Force!” sticker on my headboard while in junior high school, and enlisted the summer after graduating HS. Ten years, an amazing experience. Under this president Trump, I would encourage any young person to serve.
Thank you to all my fellow IOTWReporters who have and are serving. Now go out and collect on those veteran discounts today! ๐
…I was at the store tonight, puchasing enough caffine to survive another day, when a curious thing happened. I was in a checkout line dressed in a work shirt that has a Star of Life on the breast as a factory first responder, but also featues an American flag on the sleeve. The cashier had been talking to a young lady at the end of the aisle who, it turned out, was visually impaired, so she saw the flag, the badgelike embroidery, and my grey hair and given the day, started thanking me for “my service”. I was so taken aback by this that I didnt even realize she was talking to me at first, but as soon as I did I had to immediately and regretfully tell her I had no service to thank as I was never in any branch of the military and I will not pretend otherwise, but I told her I knew many vets who were worthy and would thank them on her behalf.
…so guys and gals, on behalf of myself and of this young woman and of everyone else who has sheltered under your watch, thank you for your service and may it forever be a good an honorable memory for you, and may you live to see this Country healed and know that your watch was not in vain.
And let that young woman stand as a reminder that even in this drifted younger generation that your service and that of those who took up your mantles is still rightly appreciated even in these seemingly dark and broken times.
Thank You.
God Bless,
