26 NYC Firehouses Shuttered & It Will Be a Lot Worse by Monday

Independent Sentinel – Reportedly 26 FDNY firehouses are out of service over the vaccine mandate staff shortage. The communist mayor and the media claimed about 90% were vaxxed. It seems to me that they were lying to convince the firefighters everyone is getting vaxxed since it is not true.

The media also claims 88% of the NYPD are vaxxed but the union reports about one-third will be out of work on Monday.

The FDNY locked down 26 fire companies citywide Saturday morning because of staff shortages caused by the COVID-19 vaccination mandate.  Some officials say it is an an “unconscionable” move and it could have catastrophic consequences.

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, a Republican who represents Staten Island and Brooklyn, tweeted Saturday that five of the companies were in her district. She said it’s Mayor Bill de Blasio who could have blood on his hands. MORE

  1. This is the new picture of slavery (not Kaepernik’s version) – a demand that you must work to take care of others, no matter the cost to yourself. First it is ‘safety’ – cops, firemen, doctors, etc. – but it will become everyone’s requirement to contribute to the ‘needy’.
Actually a lot of that is already happening.

And that’s it right there. They’re gonna spin it so that it’s not that these dictatorial anti-science fuckheads are totally out of control with their mandates and restrictions — it’s that those God damn firemen and EMTs won’t do what they’re told.

Fuck it. Let it all burn. Di Blasio created this mess — let him put out the fires.

  3. This must be coordinated. All so one directional, down. I struggle to think of what evil plan has the blue big cities left with no emergency services? Okay, no police means the native can shoot each other at will; awful, but to the evil that must be fun. But with Firemen gone, NOW you are risking total destruction. This one I cannot understand.

Read-up on what the commies did in eastern European countries in the late 40’s and 50’s to trick the citizens into voting them in – Create chaos and then convince the panicked masses that you are their savior.
Same strategy going on now all over the world.

  5. I’d say the lines are pretty well entrenched Jethro.

In fact, if anything, there’s a lot of red pilling happening on the left. I have a few fleeting acquaintances on the left that are now at the point with the “vaccine” that they have stopped the anti vaxxer rhetoric and actually are going back & forth with me on the information I send them.

And OTOH, do you know any conservative that has gone vax? I sure don’t.

  6. How come they aren’t making getting the jab a requirement to receive welfare? You must get the jab to work, but you sit home soaking up all the gibsmedat with no jab.

  7. This goes beyond the fact that it will obviously make response times much slower to not have a local house in operation, and will make them MUCH slower because they can’t service 26 emergencies now at the same time they are servicing 26 OTHER emergencies.

This also puts all the other FFs lives in more danger as they will be running with thinner companies and with no backup available, and often into neighborhoods they may not be familiar with.

On 9/11 I told the story of a 3 man company from a neighboring department that lost 2 of its members 11 minutes into the burn because the structure fell in on them. 3 man companies become kind of a norm when a city tries to save money or there are other manpower issues. They work fine for “normal” sorts of emergencies (as if there is such a thing) as you have an engineer to stay outside and run the pumper (as well as take the hydrant, if it’s close enough and he’s on his game), and a nozzleman and someone to back them and handle the hose.

And that’s fine, as long as you don’t have TOO many corners to go around, or TOO long of a hose run, and don’t really feel you need the extra safety margin of someone to watch the structure to see if it, I don’t know, IS ABOUT TO COLLAPSE ON YOU OR NOT.

There is also no one to mount a timely rescue for you if it DOES fall down on you, only the engineer who will have to abandon his post and pack up to put himself in danger, or pick up a hose and squirt where you were until someone comes from somewhere else.

Lots of lousy choices, most of which probably you wind up dead at the end of.

…It’s also pretty commmon in big city departments to send paramedi-equipped pumpers to squad runs to assess and treat, and call an ambulance if needed, because most cities have more pumpers, quints, ladders, rescues, etc., than they have ambulances. So if the firehouse is closed, those guys aren’t there, so who’s gonna come to your medical emergency? Someone from cross-town, IF you’re lucky…

…additionally, there’s this thing about fire companies. If there’s actually something substantial on fire, they have to get “laid in”, meaning they have a hose to a hydrant (maybe more than one, depending on diameter and demand), a hose to the inside crew, a hose to an outside crew, possibly a hose to a sprinkler, all tying the equipment to the scene of the emergency. While it is true that one reason that firetrucks carry axes externally is to be able to cut the hoses in an EXTREME emergency, this isn’t something it makes sense to do if you’re deeply involved in a structure fire and a call comes in for a car wreck, since you’ll lose your tank water and obvously have a problem with hoses when you get to your NEW destination, and the folks you abandon might be a bit irritable as well. That pumper (and it may be a RESCUE pumper, depending on how they distribute the not-furlouhed equpment) will NOT be coming to your rescue any time soon.

And do you think the understaffed folks will get a little stressed? Boy howdy!

All in all, I’d say the best thing that could happen is the ENTIRE department quit until they reverse.

Anything ELSE just will make it WORSE.

But it ALL serves Cloward and Piven.

They may be evil, but don’t assume that makes them stupid…

HEY, MAYBE WE SHOULD DO THAT!

No, sweetcheeks. The “opposition”, to which you have sworn your loyalty, said “This is this, the current, day’s evil.” You opposed loyally, with “OH NOES! What, ever, can we do!?”. When given a list of things, other than “Cash the rubes’ checks, and ‘break off a lil sumpin sumpin’ for the ‘opposition'”, you righteously screeched “HOW DARE YOU!?”. Followed by the solemn “THAT’S NOT WHO WE ARE!”.

You deliberately prevented this evil from being stopped. After claiming that you knew how evil it was. Because THAT, is, who you are.
