35 miles north of Austin isn’t far enough

Gateway Pundit: The slogan “Don’t Mess with Texas” often refers to the state’s anti-littering program, but it should be more often applied to patriotic residents who spare no expense to defend their homes and families.

Earlier this week in Liberty Hill, a city 35 miles north of Austin, home camera footage captured the moment a thug armed with a machete tried to break into the home of Darryl Stevens but received a rude awakening once he reached the door thanks to the homeowner exercising his 2nd Amendment rights.

The suspect, later identified as 43-year-old Jerry Escamilla of Bertram, climbed a fence and started approaching the home alongside a dog before seemingly passing out. At this moment, Stevens notices the suspect and immediately springs into action. more

  1. He had the right under the Castle Doctrine to shoot the bastard. Granted, that might be a difficult thing for some to do, but this guy is probably already out on bail and looking for his next victim. If we’re going to clean this shit up we need to prepare to take action

I believe Texas is a “Stand Your Ground” state. It doesn’t really matter because under either if some clowns walking up the stair to your back yard deck carrying a machete he’s fair game. Things that would run through my mind, if I let this guy live and he’s arrested is he going to come back seeking revenge. What if I’m not home and he shows up while my wife is? Sorry, I’m smoking his worthless ass.

  3. The blue infestation in that state is quite serious. But then LBJ, Connally, Rick Perry, George W. Bush, and many other horrible folks have been elected from that state…so there’s that.

  4. …if that was Ohio the cops would have arrested the homeowner for brandishing.

Ohio law says if you dont actually shoot, you arent in fear for your life, so you pull it, you gotta USE it…

When it comes down to it, it’s not the state you live in it’s the county and how that particular D.A. is going to interpret your rights and ability to defend yourself. If someone in my NorCal county blew this scumbag away they’d throw the home owner a parade. In L.A. or S.F. not so much. They’d lynch the home owner.

Successful and righteous use of the 2A is suppressed in MSM. While local news agencies report them, they are rarely, if ever, reported to the masses.

The UK’s Daily Mail will report them more often – even now. I’ve seen many a self defense story they picked up from local rags around here that you hardly ever see in our MSM – even FOX.

Bottom line – the more good-guy-with-a-gun stories there are, the more the every day citizens will know of them ergo the more they will understand the complete stupidity and danger of banning guns. My liberal friends think these stories are rare and irrelevant.

14 years ago there was a site I visited frequently that collected them for this very reason. Can’t remember what it was called, but a day came when it no longer existed. Would not be surprised if the powers that be had something to do with that.
