  1. Twice in my life I was eligible for unemployment due to layoffs.
    The first time was such a hassle the second time I didn’t bother and took the first job I could find until I was able to find something more desirable.

  2. When I was laid off I signed up to work for temp agencies. They provided a pay check until I found permanent work and sometimes was able to find a permanent job with one of the companies I was doing temp work for.
