  1. My coworker got his Christmas gift early this year – the Leg Lamp!
He said it is really nice quality, AND it came in a box marked FRAGILE’!
It’s proudly resting in his living room bay window for all his neighbors to see.

  2. Never shot my eye out and my guardians let me have a 22 rifle (with shorts only) when I was eight. Spent many hours in the woods doing target practice, hunting groundhogs, and other things.

Different world, different things, different society. Now kids are pretty much stifled from doing things out of the house due to crime, gangs, and illegal immigrants, sex trafficking, among other things.

    Progress they call it.

  3. On Friday, I wore my “I shot my eye out” t-shirt. Has a picture of Ralphie and his broken lens. It received lots of laughs and “I love that movie” comments. Me too, I love that movie.

The sad part? There were a couple of millennials that have never seen the movie. Are you kidding me?? It’s on every year and for 24 hours on TBS during Christmas. How can you miss it?? Then again, I’m convinced when it comes to millennials, if it’s not on social media or hasn’t been current for the past few years it never existed.

But WHERE might they be allowed to use it?
Step out of your doorway with one and see how long it takes for someone to drop a dime.

You can shoot in your own back yard. Just have to be careful with a solid backstop. One time, someone did call the cops when I was sighting in a BB gun I was using for pigeons way back when. Three squad cars raced up after I was done and was putting it in my truck to use later. I wondered what the excitement was about and the second cop said a “man-with-a-gun’ was reported. They didn’t know it was me that was called on until I said I had just finished sighting in a BB gun in my back yard. They laughed and didn’t even want to see the gun.

I currently carry a 22 cal pellet rifle in my truck and use it a lot in Dallas.
Yes – there is a P.R. aspect that has me shoot from cover if possible – why ask for trouble? But I will never be fined or cuffed for it. It’s not recreational use.

It is a silent but mean, scary looking rifle that will generate a call or two if I whip it out in public view a lot. A Gamo Whisper Cat.

    This is a .177 version

I’ll take 35 yard shots and hit a squirrel through it’s shoulders with the pellet stopping just under the skin on the opposite side. Can hit a dime at that distance with it. No small critter stands a chance against it.

I make about $75 per trigger pull. I use 14.3 gr Crossman hollow point hunting pellets.

  5. There are dozens of townships around Philly that have “Airguns are illegal to own or possess” on their books.

This local law gives LEOs the power to confiscate them if complaints are filed by neighbors who hear or see them being used.
