SUMMARY

Modern doomsayers have been predicting climate and environmental disaster since the 1960s. They continue to do so today.

None of the apocalyptic predictions with due dates as of today have come true.

What follows is a collection of notably wild predictions from notable people in government and science.

More than merely spotlighting the failed predictions, this collection shows that the makers of failed apocalyptic predictions often are individuals holding respected positions in government and science.

While such predictions have been and continue to be enthusiastically reported by a media eager for sensational headlines, the failures are typically not revisited. See them here.

  4. I remember in the 70’s reading all about the coming ice age. We had to subscribe to U.S.News and World reports and Newsweek(when it was somewhat readable) for POD class. I remember a chart that depicted where I lived in S.E. Michigan the climate would be akin to Northern Canadas and I would have to go to the Florida area to duplicate what I was acclimated to. Pretty deep stuff for the mid teen years. Thank goodness there were girls and other distractions to take your mind off it. Plus the fact that even then I thought they were full of crap.

  5. It’s September 19, 2019 in central Virginia. It’s 2149 hours and its 59 degrees. Tomorrow it’ll be in the 90s.
    This here climate appears to be a changing.

    Our only hope is to give more power to government and pay more tribute to government.

  8. Was 82 degrees in SW MI today. It’s 64 degrees at 10:13pm. Should get down to about 57 degrees later.

    PHenry, I think we are toast! Where do I send all my money? Government, please save us!

  9. I was born in ’76. We were all gonna die from Nuculear Bombs. And Nuculear Power Plants. And we were all gonna freeze to death. And then RADON GAS! Radon killed off half the planet. GET YOUR RADON DETECTOR, TO-DAY! And then they said all the petrol would be gone by 1990. And the coal. “There won’t be no COAL by 1992!”

    And then R-22 gave cancer to 122 billion people who didn’t exist. And then it was, “Oh shit, the oceans will rise because the icebergs are melting!” I never could wrap my mind around that bullshit, either.

    And THEN there was global warming that meant global cooling, and snow, and dry summers, and wet summers. And we all died. And then all the polar bears would die. I’ve never even seen a Polar Bear, much less hired one.

    Fuck. We’re all gonna die.

    Scientists! Is that what you call people that whore themselves out for government grants? If they would have predicted we’d be in deep shit before the year 2000, they would’ve hit the nail on the head.

  14. The big money manipulator’s have always pushed the dire warnings to the youth to gain the most traction. They’re able to spot the simple minded ones to concentrate on and use them as spokesmen.
    They found a rare gem of low resolution thinking with AOC and she’s proving to be a goldmine of useful stupidity.

    The liberal Luce family had Time pushing this over 50 years ago! Clare was a big believer in the Eco religion. As a great “Nanny Stater” she also was against DDT! She may have caused millions to die from” malaria, Nile Vires, …. She was positive we’d all freeze to death by 1984!
