911 operator says “ain’t nobody got time for this” and hangs up on callers

CW39: HOUSTON — A 911 operator is accused of intentionally hanging up on callers during emergencies simply because she was not in the mood to help, according to Houston police.

Crenshanda Williams has been charged with interference with an emergency telephone call.

Williams had been employed as a telecommunicator with the Houston Emergency Center since July 2014, and supervisors began to notice that her logs revealed an abnormally high amount of “short calls,” with a duration of less than 20 seconds.

Supervisors investigated the recorded call logs, and found that thousands of calls had been disconnected by Williams between Oct. 2015 and March 2016.

At least one of the calls was for a robbery and homicide, and two were regarding speeding vehicles.

Specifically on March 12, Williams hung up on several callers. The first call was ended immediately after she picked it up.

  1. If anyone got killed or died because of this Wookie Junior’s negligence, the Houston Police and the Wookie her very own seff will be held liable in court. I hope they sue the hell out of her and the NAACP or any other BLM defenders that come to her rescue. If the people want to riot, the HPD will kill the bastards in the streets. Don’t use rubber bullets or spitwads, use .38 hollow points.

  2. Let me guess what this poor misunderstood employee was paid to do? NUFFIN!! A floor manager at the emergency call center should have been watching her (yes profiling), pulled her plug immediately, escorted her to the door after taking her ID. Then the manager should have been informing missy cruickshank to get an attorney, the union rep, and any others for her hearing in court. And the HPD will be escorting her to her cell, awaiting more charges, up to and including abetting armed felony robberies, and manslaughter. She will have plenty of time now to ‘dindu nuffin’.

  3. It took them since JULY, 2014 to figure this out????? OH PLEASE!! Those supervisors are really on top of things. The reality is, it has taken them over 2 years to figure out how to fire her. Bring on the lawsuits, they are justified.

  4. My brother in law was a 911 dispatcher for a while after he retired from the Air Force. He’s also somewhat of a smartass at times, he got a call from a patient a local state hospital for mental patients once and actually asked the guy if he was a regular nut or a chocolate nut. My wife’s family thought this was hilarious, it’s a good thing he’s fully retired since we’re the only ones who have to put up with him now.
