Newser
Reckless the dog is back home with his New Jersey family more than a year after getting lost in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. But the weird part is the reunion itself. Chuck and Elicia James tell the Daily Intelligencer that they held out hope Reckless would return but finally decided only last week to adopt a replacement. They went to the Monmouth County SPCA, and the first dog brought to them as a candidate was none other than Reckless.
Reckless — what a great name for a dog that looks like that.
What a great story! The look on that dog’s face is priceless.
What a heartwarming story – got goosebumps and tears.
Reckless is smiling like he planned the adoption himself.
Great story we have our cat from this very wonderful shelter.
Good dog Reckless…back home again. I can’t imagine my dog being lost during some crisis; I reckon I’d be “lost” with him.
Thanks for the great story. This made my day.
WH have a Katrina rescue daschund – getting very old and she doesn’t like to go out in the rain.
