When Democrats failed to pass a cap and trade energy law in 2010 it wasn’t the end of the nightmare. The EPA will soon exceed its authority and require a 30% reduction in carbon emissions.
One of the options states may use to comply with the new rule will be…cap and trade.

The House and Senate have allowed the administrative branch to usurp nearly all of Congress’s power by continuing to fund government agencies that write rules and regulations that carry the force of law. If the republicans retake the Senate, then the House and Senate should eliminate funding for the EPA and a host of other unconstitutional federal agencies. I don’t think they have the guts, though.

30% reduction is easy peezy…turn off the power to blue states for 7.2 hours a day.
They are saying in WI that the state will be at an energy disadvantage to CA if and when these reductions are forced into place. See there’s no technology yet to capture carbon emissions and therefore coal burning plants in WI are screwed. There is nobody in the upper Mid-West who will have carbon credits to sell.
Which sucks because or power companies in WI just finished updating the coal plants and made them as efficient as possible. In a few years we’ll have to shut them down though to protect us all from the evil’s of carbon.
I guess its Frack, burn natural gas or go to hell for us.

The next Congress must rollback the EPA. The law needs to be amended to force congress to vote on new and old regulations. I would like to see the economic impact analysis that is required by law to justify the regulations. That in itself should be debated in congress.
Trying to achieve the goal of the proposed new EPA regulation is an exercise in futility and a destructive act during a stagnant economy. What a surprise from this administration!
