Plank, the gal with the masters, is extremely impressed with a Think Progress GENIUS who went into Hobby Lobby and waged a “guerrilla act of  protest” by rearranging some items they sell to spell out a message.

First of all, people have been doing this for years. I’ve been doing it for the last 6 1/2 years, and no one has given me a Plank Award, not even a nomination.

Second of all, any progressive nitwit that is outraged by the Hobby Lobby ruling is already not shopping there, so you’re not dissuading them. And anyone else seeing the message will simply ask themselves, “okay, and why aren’t women able to get birth control???”

When it’s explained to them that no one is preventing anyone from obtaining birth control and that this is about the epic struggle of forcing an employer to pay for a low-cost item that the employer is morally against because it’s out of line with the tenets of their religious faith, it will leave the person witnessing this “guerrilla act” bemused.

Hobby Lobby pays women 14 dollars an hour for a job that most other stores pay 8 dollars an hour to perform. The progressive plan is to strong-arm Hobby Lobby so that bottom-tier wage earning women, making about 30k a year, can force their employer to pay for some pills that cost about $200 a year. Toppling Hobby Lobby is an end game that makes little sense to anyone but the perpetually non-thinking progressive.

Dirtnozzle- “Ya, man. We took down Hobby Lobby.”

Hobby Lobby Employee – “But I just lost a job where I was easily able to afford to buy those pills if I wanted them. Now I can’t afford to feed the kids I already have.”

Dirtnozzle- “So what? We stuck it to the Christians.”

  1. Just goes to show that the entrance requirements for the LSE sure have fallen. I wonder if she was part of a minority, say retards and that got her past the test threshold for reading and printing your own name. God, these idiots don’t even know what the case was actually about.

  2. “Elizabeth is a Senior Editor at Mic. She has a Masters degree from the London School of Economics and has experience in the field of behavioural science and women’s advocacy.”

Just proof-positive that she has been indoctrinated.
Sad part is you don’t have to believe the BS you’re fed in an institute of higher learning.

  3. This tempest in a teapot is only about who is going to pay for womens contraception. It has nothing to do with denying women health care which has nothing to do with birth control pills. Progs are stinkin demented liars.

But can’t be bothered to read the actual text of the ruling…

  5. myself, i wage guerilla warfare with my wallet, spent 85 bucks the other day at Hobby Lobby for shit I don’t need & frankly could have got at a dollar store for less, but the next time I am there I’ll do some letter arranging too, like “I stand with Hobby Lobby”.

the plank aware surely must be female lemmings walking it…………

  6. And when she meets her Maker, that fancy diploma will mean nothing. How fitting her name. Planks often result in splinters. That bury deep under the skin, festering and throbbing with pain. Enjoy eternity with your fellow travelers.

    WTF? Thinks She’s Onto Something.

FYI: It Has Always Been A Thing.
The only difference was that spelled out messages were typically more original, relevant, timely, & accurate.

  8. My frustration is any attempt to educate any of my friends/family/etc… with FACTS are met with blank stares and glazed eyes.

I’m sick of trying to get people to think for themselves.

I had a “Discussion” about voter ID with a nitwit one day. He was obviously set in his view that requiring someone to show ID when voting was a “Burden” and was designed specifically to stop minorities from voting.

    I agreed to disagree.

His parting shot? He was just trying to get me to research the “Facts”.

The fact is, people don’t care enough to do ANYTHING for themselves. Yes, it might be inconvenient to get an ID, but IT CAN BE DONE and it is NOT THAT HARD!!!

Same with birth control. If you want the morning after pill (because Hobby Lobby won’t pay for it) then GO BUY IT! You don’t take those monthly anyway (unless you are a real idiot!).

  9. Here’s an idea: If the Left is so all-fired up about companies like Hobby Lobby using the constitution and system of laws to protect their religious rights, then they should open and make successful similar businesses that give them the freedom to do as they please in that regard.

    …waiting…

    …still waiting….

  10. Coming here provides all the benefits of smoking crack with none of the liabilities, like losing your teeth or looking like an alien.
If I’m arrested for planking I’m blaming it on iotw. lol.

  11. When did employment get so convoluted?

Can we go back to the days of – you get a job, you can afford to get what you need. Instead it’s – soak the company as much as you can.
