What are they going to talk about if they are atheists?
@Annie – They are going to talk about how deep their faith is in the non-existence of God, and how they find ways in their daily lives to bear witness to that faith.
That was my first thought—what will they talk about?
Then I realized it should be, “what in hell will they talk about?”
So, how much are they being subsidized by tax dollars? I really can’t see them pulling in enough advertizing money to stay afloat.
So Air America, but on TV? Bet it doesn’t last as long.
My guess is atheists would watch a lot of porn. So maybe that’s what will be on.

I think you all may be the only people who listen to anything American Atheists (the group) says. I hadn’t heard anything from them since I was in high school until that one post on IOTW a few days ago.
I guess getting an hour a week on community access cable wasn’t enough to cram in their very complicated position of not believing in anything and/or complaining about everything.
This should be it’s own IOTW category. Names of TV shows on the Atheist channel.

Back in the ’70s, I enjoyed the uplifting 1 minute devotionals area clergy would do on local TV stations at each day’s sign-on and sign-off. I look forward to the atheists’ version of that. I suspect it will be sixty seconds of some fat guy in a ponytail staring blankly and shrugging.

They do have something to believe in. They believe in hating Christians and Jews. They won’t say a word about Islam though. Islam beheads atheists, so they won’t have the balls to spew their contempt at them. Come Atheists, I dare ya! I double dog dare ya!
I’ve met a few in my day. They are mostly unhappy types, always angry and sort of miserable. I never met an outgoing happy one.

I think a lot of atheists out there (maybe most of them) are pissed at the extremists that have to challenge everything religious in the same way the extremists in the LGBT community challenge anything straight. Those types exist everywhere and are responsible for a lot of hatred. Having said that I wonder who’ll advertise on the channel?
I thought MSNBC and the major networks had that demographic covered.

I read somewhere that one of our Founders said that our Constitution and our Republic was designed for a moral and decent people otherwise it will not work. It seems to be working out that way.

Cool, an entire TV channel dedicated to opinions about a God that they don’t belIeve in versus my experiences that I’ve have had. Have at it, my experience trumps their opinions.

No one is lamer than an atheist. What did they do, go to the edge of the universe and knock on the wall? Beyond dumb: no rational basis whatsoever in the negative they are trying to prove. If they were to hold the belief that there is no God as a ‘belief,’ what are they organized for?
The mores sinister explanation for organized atheism is that atheism is a cult of anger and hate, manipulated by the usual leftist apparatus.
In either case, atheists are fools.
