Guy Confronts Alleged Perpetrator of Stolen Valor – IOTW Report

Guy Confronts Alleged Perpetrator of Stolen Valor

The alleged impostor in the video has taken down his Facebook page.

I say alleged just to cover our asses. Most likely he’s guilty. But I don’t enjoy watching some of these confrontation videos because there’s no way of knowing positively that the person being berated isn’t mentally ill. As annoying as the woman initially sounded in the background (she uses the “don’t be a douche” voice on her husband/boyfriend (?) for raising the level of the confrontation to shouting level), she is right. At some point you’re taking it too far. Collect your evidence and shame them on social media once you’re sure your suspicions are right. It sounded like the guy was trying to organize a public flogging, which is fine once someone is found guilty in a court of law, but not in the Food Court of Law at the mall.

I met a guy in Canada once who believed he was Superman. He seemed fine in every other way, except, he was Superman. Video after the jump.

  1. Well, some of us take this VERY seriously. We know what it takes to wear the uniform as a way of life, not just a “job” or as a means to get to college. And to pretend to be one of our elite when it is immediately demonstrable that you are a lying shitbag, well, everyone has their limits.

I, for one, commend the chap for not throat punching that bag of dicks.
    /END MESSAGE

  2. My father was USN MCPO, anyone claiming to be something they are not or never have been is nothing but garbage. I completely understand the guy’s anger in the video, if you haven’t walked the walk don’t talk the talk and anyone that has walked it is going to see right through you. I was never in the military and can spot them a mile away.

  3. Having retired with a combination of active duty and reserve, I am a retired USAF officer who is eligible to wear the uniform.
Most of the active duty time I worked along side GS 11 through GS 13 civilians. Many of the OERs were written up by GS 13 or GS 14 civilians. I do not claim any combat experience.
In fact, having retirement pay and Tricare is good, considering never even being stationed outside CONUS.
My hat is off to the true heroes, but these idiots make me sick.

  4. I was lucky to get out of V/Nam with only emotional scars, friends and brothers died there.
Things sure have changed, I wouldn’t admit to being a vet for 30 years.
Now little fat boys play soldier for undeserved recognition, kinda like SoS Kerry.
That tubby POS couldn’t pass the requals, probably the protagonist’s first clue.

  5. There’s a lot of people running around claiming to be ex Seals or Rangers. I am introduced to at least two new ones each month. Seems a little out of proportion to me. The real Seals and Rangers will never tell you. The fake ones pretty much have a sign hanging on their necks claiming to be one. The problem has gotten bad enough that the Navy Seal web page has a place where you can send in a name for verification. A gun shop in the central valley busted one a couple months back. I would imagine the Rangers have a verification section on their page as well.

  6. This is what happens when little boys growing up are not allowed to play with army men, GI Joe, toy weapons, etc. and instead are pussified by the liberal establishment. To compensate, as adults they pretend to be actual warriors, as a means to get some self-respect back in their otherwise sissified lives! That being said, he still needs to be throat punched and slapped silly! Maggot!

  7. RE:

    more individual liberties?

The SC of the US has declared that this kind of lying is covered under 1A free speech.

Not if he received a “military discount” on even one single item. And I can tell you from personal experience; wearing the uniform gets you the discount without asking in many places. I still get asked because of the haircut……Oh, and my warm, winning personality….Yeah, that’s it…..
