  1. I couldn’t label the U.K. either, BFH, but, unlike a lot of them, I’m not all over the UK websites telling them how they ought to run their country. I’ve encountered so many uppity foreign a-holes who think they know all there is to know about us, based on what they see on youtube, I’ve become immune to it.

Some of those are quite funny, though!

  2. I’m with JannyMae on this. I was married to a Canadian, and it became really tedious and aggravating to endure the visits north of the 49th parallel, during which I was the target of comments and criticism about the US.

I began to visualize them all sitting on south-facing porches, and waiting to see what we would do next, so that they could ridicule our every move.

I used to tell them to be careful, or we would send our Salvation Army to kick their military’s ass.

  3. It was surprising to me to see that I live in the heart of Lake America. here in Indiana. I can put Wales and Scotland and London on their map. Beyond that I would be at a loss.
But I have had an orphan in rural India recite off a better history of the USA than the average school kid in America could about our own country.

  4. Wow!
    Very edifying.
I didn’t know that the state of Seattle was next to Utah, or that the state of Albuquerque was next to Texas.

But, like KMM said, there are many Americans who couldn’t do any better.
