The buffalo picture is gorgeous. Thanks for my Sunday morning “fix,” Claudia!
Red squirrels are getting hard to find. Thanks, Claudia.
Great theme, and even better ‘execution’, Claudia!
Love the dogs ‘hiding’ under the sofa.
Mine does that under her favorite chair and she thinks she’s invisible.
And tomorrow is the day that Krispy Kreme sees his shadow.
Or Zippy tries to see his reflection.
Something like that…
“Really? Do you mind. Im kinda occupied right now.”

That little dog is so cute. Thanks Claudia.
We have some red squirrels here in Connecticut where I live. They are a bit aggressive and chase the grey squirrels from the “bird feeder”.
Jethro….I believe that’s a ‘Pika’…it’s a high altitude rodent …about rabbit size, maybe a bit bigger…
Communist Mayor de Blasio is prohibited from handling NYC’s new groundhog tomorrow. He killed the one last year by dropping it from shoulder height. 🙁
Love the little baby owl!…but these are all terrific photos and bring a warm smile on a chilly, snowy day. Thanks Claudia!
Thank you, Claudia. Love the long shadow of the departing cat. Ominous Mission!
These are great. I especially love the last picture. One of my Westie puppies acts like the little owl above when he sees shadows on the ground. He jumps then he chases them. Doofus.
Thanks, Claudia.
Beautiful elk. DH is already thinking about his hunt next fall
Thanks Claudia. They must be a west coast rodent. We don’t have anything like that in the east, except mice, rats and liberals.
Jethro, they like colder, high altitude places.
Ya gotta watch out for those east coast liberals. I hear they carry diseases!
Ach! #3! My kitty gets on my shoulders all the time when I’m sitting. I’d like her to warn me first sometimes. It’s a bit of a shock when she’s stealthy and surprises me with a leap up there.
Is pic #4 – the little white dog – some sort of Airdale mix? 🙂
I was given a bird dog one time as a present.
Turned out it was completely defective and I had to shoot it.
Damned thing wouldn’t fly.

What’s that critter in the bottom picture?
His fur looks just like the lichen on the surrounding rocks.
I couldn’t find any info in the links.

That’s a Pika. Found this image at Pixadus.com quite a while ago. Here is one of my favorite pictures: http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=pika&id=8083344D07B7B1F9B9632C09DE94DA7AD241FEF9&FORM=IQFRBA#view=detail&id=649D33AC75C365BFA19C73A48EA0228EF2062114&selectedIndex=13

They don’t always have the rust coloring. They are in the rabbit family. – claudia
