JewishWorldReview: Jews have big mouths. Put those big mouths in a society that reveres freedom of speech and it’s a sight to behold.
On the whole, it’s a wonderful attribute. We analyze everything, we criticize endlessly, we kvetch, we yell, we do everything but shut up. It’s as if we’re taking revenge on all those centuries when we often had to watch what we said.
Here, in the land of the First Amendment, keeping quiet is no longer a Jewish ailment.
I’m always amused when I hear an American Jew complain, “They’re trying to shut me up!” I don’t know about you, but I’ve never been able to shut a Jew up.
But in this column, I will try.

Agreed. Jews and Christians together, let’s leave thewon out of Easter and Palm Sunday, and out of our prayers for God’s mercy. As we all know The Last Supper was a Passover Seder.
There will be no O here this Easter.
I will try to make the Sunrise Service on the beach.
There will be no bunnies. There will be ham.

Amen to that! Barry Microshmeckle has a way of sucking the oxygen out of everything, and making everything depressing…here at home we have instituted time outs where we make a designated period an “obama free zone”! A Seder…or Easter dinner certainly seem to be good bets for that!

To enjoy family time and also make others will, certain topics are best avoided at get togethers. Some conversations do tend to make for a lousy mood and/or raise blood pressure.
Hopefully, any trace of 0bama was cleaned out of the Jewish house with the rest of the chametz and burned this morning. May the traditional seder bitter herbs be the only bitterness on your Passover feast.
