  1. i am sometimes tempted to say i don’t care anymore, but i would be wrong in doing so

in most cases, these are thugs killing thugs, but in others it is some young boy or girl who is trying to better their life, complete an education, and launch themselves into legitimate and successful careers, much like ben carson did while probably ducking bullets in Detroit

i will always keep in my mind and heart beautiful young jamyla bolden of ferguson, shot in her home while doing schoolwork, and a statue of her should be erected as an inspiration to others who want to do well with their lives

  2. Funny, that a city with perhaps the most discriminatory anti-gun laws has such a high homicide rate and no one in the anti -gun crowd is standing in the middle of the Loop and crying for more laws.
Maybe it’s because only the good guys follow the law and we’re not the ones doing the killing.
I’d love to see Mark Kelly stand in the middle of a ‘hood in Chicago and sermonize on the need for background checks. Bet he doesn’t get two words out before some brother jacks his punk ass and leaves him naked and bleeding.

  3. Unfortunately, those neighborhoods have to step up to the plate and clean out the rats’ nests within them. We can’t want it more than they do–but it’s going to have to be someone totally fearless because once they speak up, they’ll have a bulls eye pinned to their back.

  4. I find myself these days thinking that I can’t get more concerned for what’s going on in these areas of the city than the actual residents there are.

I guess my message is, help yourselves. We have our own problems to attend to.

  5. It just dawned on me. What Chicago needs some “hands up don’t shoot” action along with some “black lives matter” and a helpful does of crazy from Minister Louie & the Reverend Jackson.

Or is that only for when a cracker is tying to save is own life? (Rhetorical question should a liberal actually ever read this)
