Fiorina Borrows Divisive Tactics From the Other Side of the Aisle

Conservative Review: It’s quite interesting to watch the establishment-leaning media as the “Summer of beating down Trump” transitions into what they hope will be the “Fall of Trump.”  The cumulative arguments against Donald Trump from what used to be the conservative gold standard of all publications, National Review, have devolved to the point of crassness, as we wistfully recall its more refined and hence, more effective, founder.

I guess with 14 candidates to choose from, National Review picks Carly Fiorina, not to contrast with the oft-repeated conservative positions of Trump, but because she is a woman. She certainly has no conservative credentials, except that she can articulate extremely well the positions Americans expect in a conservative—a great feat in comparison to the other female contender in this race, whose attempts at being articulate come riddled with unprecedented dishonesty.

Carly is a gifted speaker with excellent recall and she’s bold enough to run with the big dogs.  She deserves kudos for getting into it with the far-left pro-aborts, but truthfully, if she isn’t much into rocking the Republican establishment boat, nothing will be done about the ongoing torture and murder of the unborn.  If you can’t defund Planned Parenthood with the evidence presented, then the only good that comes out of challenging the Democrats to view the recent videos is that Carly sounds like she cares.  But that’s all.  That she decided to involve every woman in her fight against Trump, however, tells us a lot. – See more

  1. By Jove, I think the article you chose used a poor example. Yes, in prepping for the debate, Carly needed to have some sort of answer. She knew it couldn’t be involved because she wanted to emphasize (in the author’s mind) her memorization of conservative points. Yes, it was “cheesy”, but it accomplished what she needed in very few words which left more time for those talking points. Carly may not be sufficiently conservative for your taste or mine, but this was not the example to prove that point.

  2. On National Review:
When Bill’s son, Chris, endorsed Barack Obama I was pissed. When Rich Lowrey sided with Al Sharpton in the Ferguson case, I was more pissed. Then George Will came on with his “vulgar, unwashed masses……..incapable of cognitive thought or rational action,” Trump supporters. I was double pissed. Then Lowrey, oh let me get his frigging name right, Lowry, says the foxy bimbo Kelly , “cut Trumps balls off,” on national TV. Now that’s a tripple fucking dare.
Add to that the 7000 word article in National Review ( 5/19/15) by it’s Managing Editor, Jason Lee Steorts on gay marriage: “An Equal Chance at Love. Why we Should Recognize Same-Sex Marriage,” And, and, when you realize that Steorts and Lowry got rid of my mentor on global warming, Mark Steyn, a wonderful commentator and writer, just what do you think I should feel?
I probably will “Cancel my Own Goddamn Subscription.”

    RIP WFB.
