Kevin McCarthy, the hand-picked Establishment wussypant to replace the Man of Kleenex has dropped out of consideration for the Speaker’s chair. Since a politician would rather eat the spleen of their newborn grandchild than turn down more power, we must assume McCarthy didn’t have the votes.
Those @#&* Teabaggers and their @#&* conservative Freedom Caucus congressmen just won’t sit back and sell out their constituents the way that Republican leadership does! Don’t they realize how things are done (or not done?) in Washington? Well, it’s pretty simple.
Rule #1. Everybody is a Democrat. Oh sure, the Republicans are allowed to stomp and blow snot on the floors of Congress during meaningless speeches but it’s nothing more than political pro ‘rasslin. Just talk the talk and the SRV’s (Stupid Republican Voters) back home will send you back for generations until we ship your ass home in a casket. You can vote the way your constituents vote when your vote doesn’t matter. We understand that. But, on those hard votes, you’ll vote our way or look forward to a well-funded challenger or being redistricted out of office.

McCarthy had to step down because he was boning Renee Ellmers. The two may end up resigning too.

The House needs to fumigate Boehner and vote to vacate the chair. There’s no need for him to hang around screwing over conservatives till December — or until he finds a new patsy — whichever comes first.
Now NRO, PJM and the other establishment mouth pieces are pushing Ryan. They will never go quietly.
The last 10 minutes of Quinn’s Warroom radio show yesterday, 10/8 explains it pretty well: RINOs like Boehner are bought and paid for by lobbyists and don’t want anyone to upset the apple cart. Their cushy arrangements are at stake.
