In fact, I nominate Illi to host the next Democrap convention! It would showcase all of the great deomcrap ideas, everything from public housing, illegal immigration, student loans, feminism (Hillary) and Affirmative Action ( aka Barry Soetero). Just put up giant signs around the ports of entry for that state and let the humiliation begin!

Besides all that, I hate the IL people who cross the border and drive in the middle (passing lane) under the speed limit.

The sad part of this is that the mathematically challenged people that throw money into a wishing well (the lottery) are not going to stop buying tickets even if nobody ever gets paid a dime.
They are buying hope, or a dream.
Government taking advantage of those people is a crime far worse than not giving them money almost all of them would not get anyway.
That is why, back when sanity prevailed, these kinds of operations were illegal.
Mark my words. It is inevitable that sooner or later, a government will start using psychics to con people out of money.

Its a shame that moonbattery’s story doesn’t say who started the budget impasse. The state now has a Republican Governor and Lieutenant Governor but a solidly Democrat Assembly. If you go to the newspaper it asks you to get an online subscription if you want to know more. Maybe the Governor is finally having a showdown with the legislature and the lottery office is caught in the crossfire.

Well said! I never play and it saddens me when I see people dump $20 on powerball. You can’t explain to them that the chances of winning, whether they spend 1 or $100,000, is never. It is a tax on the poor.
