If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind. I think anybody [who says that] is. I think it’s absolutely insane. The problem, the problem that we’re having right now to turn it around…you may think you’ve got me worried about you’re gonna do? Dude, you’re about to find out what I’m gonna do, and that’s gonna worry you a lot more. And that’s what we need. That will change the concept of gun culture, as you call it, to something [like] reality. Which is, if I’m a hockey team and I’ve got some guy bearing down on me as a goal tender, I’m not concerned about what he’s gonna do — I’m gonna make him concerned about what I’m gonna do…

” No more movies for you”
Wow! That’s a break with Hollyweird groupthink.
So like uh after the um first sentence I was like confused even though I love hockey.
He must finally have enough money.
Cause he won’t be working in Hollywood anymore.
Damn outsider
He’s been one of my absolute favs for over 30 years-he been dancing close to the dark side for many years but has never slipped over-Goldie is an out and out REgressive, how it he did it, I’ll never know.
One of my favorites too, since the Mickey Mouse club.
Captain Ron was funny as shit too. lol
The guy is real.
I agree Kurt. I think it is absolutely Hussein, too.
He’s got some real earthy comedic chops Like Capt Ron or Overboard but how about Soldier or Escape from NY?
And his Elvis was spot on.
If he punched Quentin Turdtino in the nose, I would really respect him.
Kurt Russell from 1982’s The Thing saying it much more succinctly

.
And Tombstone with the bitch slap to Billy Bob. Great career.
But what would Jack Burton say about it? (“Big trouble in Little China”) I watched Russell play minor league ball, and he was a damn good ballplayer prior to his injury.
maybe it would make more sense if he put it in a rap video for college students?
He was in the MM club? I had no idea
It reads like he’s a sheet or two to the wind.
Not too wasted but getting there.
Yep. He was a favorite of Walt Disney. Worked in a lot of westerns early on too.

That may have been as a guest. Can’t find anything that says he was a member. But I do remember seeing him on the show. So don’t take that as a fact. My memory system is almost 60 years old.
I do know that the last thing Walt Disney said, or wrote, before he died was “Kurt Russell”. Surely he would have given him a go at the Mouse club, no? lol
🙂
Well, his principles are right, even if his statement was a bit incoherent.
I liked him in Used Cars too.
I’d like to see him do a remake of the, “The price is to high”, scene, but blowing away Obama’s policies; Obamacare, Foreign Policy, Iranian deal, GW, Spreading the money around, Gun control, etc. the subject , not the price of used cars.
Sorry – rated R

I forgot about Used Cars. One of the best movies ever! lol
Thanks for reminding me, I’m making a list of movies to buy on DVD, now that’s one of them.
Netflix has a documentary about Kurt’s dad, Bing:
He also played baseball.

And he didn’t wrestle
IIRC, Kurt played minor league baseball in Bend Oregon in between movie gigs.
He played short-A ball for the Bend Rainbows. I watched him play against our Athletics farm club on the southern Oregon coast. He was a good athlete, too bad he got hurt.
Kurt is old enough and well-insulated enough, which is why he can now open his mouth about how he feels. Since he’s approaching his mid-60s, I suppose that his marketability isn’t going to be changed much at this point even if he bucks the usual leftist nonsense that is expected of anyone who comes out of Hollywood.
Would have been nice to hear more of such talk years ago, but better late than never, and I’m glad to know there are still a few actors whose opinions aren’t completely detestable.
Heh, The Computer Wore 45s.
Russell was a favorite child actor of Walt Disney, but I can’t find any evidence that he was ever a Mouseketeer.
