Who Wrote the Omnibus? 4 Lawmakers, Many Lobbyists

BigGovernment: The ugly work that went into the massive pork-filled omnibus spending bill snaking its way through congress is now starting to be exposed.

And it’s not for the faint at heart. Members of congress had little input in the bill and didn’t even in many cases know what was in it.

Senator Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Republican of Alabama, in a blistering interview Thursday night, shed some light on the details.

According to Sessions, lawmakers found out what was in the bill by talking to lobbyists, who had a better idea than they did as to what was being included in the bill. “No member of even the House and Senate knew what was going on,” he told Portland, Oregon talk show host Lars Larson. “Special interests did because we heard from lobbyists what some things were being considered.” more here

  1. Any Legislator who votes on a Bill he hasn’t read, has committed Treason. He is a paid agent of his sovereign (us) and is taking money through false pretenses if he has failed to substantially care for his sovereign’s interests – which he cannot do without reading the Bill.

The penalty for Treason should be Death.

  2. You know…what a coincidence!

Just today, I heard some people on the street – whom I’d never seen before nor ever recognized, mind you – say how much they’d hope such people would be strung up left to dry.

The things people on the street say.

  3. Both of the rat bastard senators from GA (Isakson and Perdue) voted for it along with supposedly conservative congressmen including Woodall, Collins and Westmoreland. We’re gonna need a lot of rope.

  4. Well I wrote my congressman today, who voted for this piece of crap legislation, told him I am more than disappointed in him, pointing out that his two fellow congressmen showed clearer thing & greater wisdom than he did. That I voted for him to stop the Obama agenda not fully fund it. Especially not by voting to approve something he had not read at 2 a.m. Recommended he watch Sen Sessions video about the Omnibus bill. And recommended he not send me a list of excuses for why he voted for this as there no reason i would ever vote for him again.

  5. First, I really think they did this to piss us off so conservatives will abandon the party. Don’t get fooled. It is what they want.

Get your friends and family to register (R) and vote in the primaries for Trump.Time for Operation Clean the House.

Secondly, the (R) party can lose 29 seats to the (D) party and still maintain a majority in the House. Since so many of these slugs in leadership won’t have (R) challengers in their primary race, We the People, need to convince the citizens in their districts, including Republicans, to elect the (D) challenger.

Let’s say about 20 (R) lose their seats by (R) joining (D) and voting for the (D) opponent. This may make others rethink how they treat the people who elected them.

Ya, I know it would bother a lot of us to vote for a (D), but I am at the point I’d rather elect an ineffective minority (D) to the house than a treacherous RINO.

  6. Forget who wrote it…look at who passed it.

In both the Senate and House the majority of yeah votes were from….wait for it….Democrats!

The GOP controls both houses of Congress, yet more Democrats than Republicans voted FOR a bill submitted by Republicans?

    LET.THAT.SINK.IN.

The GOP and the DNC are the SAME thing and this proves it!

    NOW vote these traitors OUT!!!
