The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office declined Wednesday to file criminal charges against comedian Bill Cosby over allegations he sexually assaulted a woman at the Playboy Mansion in 2008 and another allegation dating to 1965.
Prosecutors cited the statute of limitations and insufficient evidence in declining to file charges from the 2008 allegations. A lawsuit was filed Oct. 6 in federal court on behalf of the plaintiff, who claimed she was drugged and assaulted at the famed Playboy Mansion.
