HONOLULU – Hawaii lawmakers are considering a unique solution to the housing crisis: They want to make it possible for people to live in traditional Hawaiian grass huts.
Sen. Suzanne Chun Oakland said Monday she’s introducing a bill in the state Legislature’s upcoming session that would let officials set aside land to build Native Hawaiian thatched homes.
I thought the homeless in HI were known as beach bums
This is what happens when there are no large predators in the ecosystem.
I say we stock the place with South Carolina Panthers.
(Large cats or the Football Team. I don’t care which.)
Do they come fully equipped with half naked Polynesian girls and cannibals? Maybe this is where barry and mooch can live after leaving the White hut.
There are a ton of bleeding heart pasty faced douchebags that own highly expensive and mostly empty homes there. Problem solved!
If the bums and deadbeats wanted homes, they’d get jobs and buy them. This is racist paternalism … err … maternalism to objectify and discriminate and humiliate the bums and deadbeats … an attempt to shame them into becoming tools of the running capitalistic dogs who own and operate Hawarya.
But won’t they freeze!
Beats the hell out of what Germany’s doing. Per a radio show last night, the caller’s brother received a letter regarding his vacation home in Köhn. He and his wife have to occupy the dwelling or it will be housing ‘immigrants’. The owners will be compensated for the seizure of their property.
So grass huts? Bring it. Pretty fitting, and likely luxurious, compared to 3WHH housing.
They’ll be recyclable, renewable and best of all Green.
Looks like a win-win for Hawaii’s Dems, until there’s a high wind.
Don’t let the Big Bad Wolf know these grass huts are around because he’ll come around and huff and puff and blow the grass huts around. Maybe we could house muzzies in these and they could tether up their sheep and goats and camels in the front of the huts.
Didn’t obozo come with a hut when he moved from Kenya to Hawaii after he was born?
Every homeless person I have seen smokes. A lot. So with grass houses, I think the problem will solve itself in short order.
But that’s the beauty of it. If they get cold or hungry they can start the grass on fire and get warm and have a wiener roast at the same time! The Dems thought of every thin!
Homeless people can afford to smoke cigarettes, who knew? Are they smoking loosies or bumming cigarettes off of some one or stealing them. At $8 – $9 a pack in Washington State (and higher in other states), how can they afford that?
If progs get more power this is how all of us serfs will be living.
Can’t afford rent, but always have money for beer and cigarettes … or dope and cigarettes …
