  1. Good grief. The neighbors are a bunch of morons. Ten to one that the dog never goes in the doghouse that owner Larry gets for him. Once he’s done playing outside, he’ll just let them know when he wants to come back in. Beautiful dog BTW.

  2. Four Cincinnati SPCA employees have been disciplined after a dog died after it was left in a transfer van overnight last week, SPCA Vice president of Strategic Initiatives Dr. Dave LeBourveau said. Dr. LeBourveau describe the disciplined employees as animal lovers and great workers.

Nighttime temps were in the single digits.

  3. Thanks for the tip bro! We’re dispatching a crew of limp wristed, ambiguously gay jamtarts up to Alaska to investigate. Damn pet scoff laws! We’ll make them pay with some jail time.

  4. Our veterinarian’s Goldens love to play in snow especially if someone uses the laser light. My dobie from decades ago loved the snow more than grass.

The Humane Society is a bunch asshats. Try asking them to deal with halal slaughter, or even simply condemn it, and all you get is crickets chirping.

  5. How ’bout them ol’ wolfies up there in Yellerstone? Does they ‘spect them to migrate souf’ fer the win’er?

To channel the late Sam Kennison, “It’s a DOG!” Hell, whur I come from, they keep YOU warm in the win’er!

  6. When I was stationed in England in 1974/75, we had a cat. I received orders to rotate back to the US earlier than expected. We couldn’t bring the cat back with us because of the laws then. I called the Royal Society For the Prevention of Cruelty To Animals (RSPCA) and explained our situation and requested help in finding a home for our cat. The man on the phone suggested that we “put down” the cat. I said, “I thought I called the RSCPA, why are you suggesting we kill the cat?” He said they don’t have the resources to save every animal. I said I only wanted help finding a new home for it and if they thought I was going to kill it, I would just find a suitable place to turn the cat loose as it would at least have a fighting chance to survive. He said that was illegal and I would be in trouble if caught. I told him I’d be sure not to get caught and told him to bugger off.

  7. Huskies love the cold. And a dog will howl if it gets too cold.

I’ve slept in the back of my truck with my shepherd/wolf dog on some very cold nights but only when it got down into the lower 20°s did he start complaining (howling). So I let him jump up on the cot with me on my feet and threw a blanket over him. That only happened 2 or 3 times when the temps got real low. He’s been an inside dog all his life. Otherwise, it probably wouldn’t have bothered him.

I have a heavy cold-weather military jacket and a couple of blankets that he slept on in the truck. But you throw a blanket over him and it doesn’t stay on for long.

That husky would be fine in cold weather. It is much more cruel to arrest a woman for such an imagined crime than it is to leave a cold-weather dog in cold weather.

It’s not the People who make these stupid laws.
