  35. On a more serious note – us ‘conspiracy theorists’ predicted Obama would retire Ginsberg at a specific point before his departure and now it looks as though Scalia not only fills that bill, but Ginsberg ritiring on her own would yield TWO open LIFETIME APPOINTMENT slots on the SCOTUS.

    Second point: this might ensure a republican Trump or Cruz win for the White House.

    6 liberal justices would be bad news for people holding the 2nd Amendment dear.

    My suggestion to everybody is to start making unserialized AR15’s from 80% lower receivers before you can’t. What the government doesn’t know of, the government won’t come looking for.

  36. Very sad news. Justice Scalia was a stalwart defender the US Constitution and a righteous man. This is really heartbreaking. Condolences to his family.
    This will be the chance for Obama to appoint a Muslim to the Supreme Court which will certainly insure Shiria law being implemented. Don’t underestimate the lawless Obama Administration and minions. GOD help us.

    That said, this really is an incredible loss of one of the last remaining true conservative constitutional minds this country had left. Justice Scalia leaves an enormous legacy as well as a gaping hole on SCOTUS.

    I do not believe any Obama SCOTUS appointee will pass muster in the Senate under any circumstances. Senator Ted Cruz (or any other sitting Senator for that matter) can put a hold on a judicial nominee for any number of reasons, the least of which will be to give the next President the duty. When, not if, the Hildebeest is finally indicted she will take down so many Democratic Party operatives and cause such turmoil that this President will be unable to find support on just about anything.

    I believe Obama is arrogant enough and willing to be confrontational enough to nominate someone like Cornell West and try to push him through to balance Black Lives Matter against Clarence Thomas on SCOTUS. What does Obama stand to lose?? He can certainly try to boost Democrat street creds by nominating someone black and very radical but he has little chance of pushing any nominee through during this election year.
