There are turtles in Bull Shoals lake (Arkansas/Missouri) that hatched during the Civil War. If you like fishing for stripers, that is a great place. Very nice boat rental services, campsites, hotels, and rednecks.

There is a protective layer of bacteria that grows on the outside of the animal which helps it survive for so long. Removing it will undoubtedly expose it to a hostile environment and certain attack, most likely destroying it. It’s called the democrat party….the tortoise will be fine.
I never knew lizards and snakes were plants until I read the comments on this thread. I’m still assuming they are not mineral either, but we know they’re not animals, right?
