My friend lives in a three-bedroom condo in a prime neighborhood in Brooklyn. The owner of the unit directly above has sublet to a series of tenants, each of whom would run a floor sander for hours at a time. I am convinced that the upstairs owner is trying to harass my friend so he can buy his unit for cheap, combine the units, and voila! He’ll have a $1.5 million duplex!
Years ago, I had a next door neighbor who tried similar stuff. When I was finished, he’s the one who moved.
