German Historian Alleges AP Cooperated with Nazis for Access

WFB: The Associated Press cooperated with the Hitler regime to preserve its media access to the Nazis during the 1930s, a German historian detailed in a new study.

Harriet Scharnberg wrote in a German academic journal that the news agency provided American newspapers with propaganda created and selected by the Nazis under a formal cooperation with the dictatorship.

The Guardian reported Wednesday:

Associated Press…was the only western news agency able to stay open in Hitler’s Germany, continuing to operate until the U.S. entered the war in 1941. It thus found itself in the presumably profitable situation of being the prime channel for news reports and pictures out of the totalitarian state.

The agency entered into an agreement called Schriftleitergesetz, or editor’s law, vowing to refrain from printing anything that was “calculated to weaken the strength of the Reich abroad or at home,” according to Scharnberg.  MORE

  1. The media has never meet a socialist / totalitarian they didn’t like (love). They only turned against Hitler when he attacked Stalin (sort of like FDR).

Islam literally means “submission” and that’s what the media types crave, one collective that they mistakenly think they will have some power over.

  2. Very old news. The historical cooperation of MSM with tyranny is well documented, everywhere. That is why the intuitive hackles are raised across America, right now.

We know the bias of MSM, aids, abets, obfuscates, and outright lies, to hide and profit from the criminal activities of politicians and the government. Always have and probably always will.

However, it is our responsibility to listen or read as many sources or sides of an issue and then decide what might be true.

To paraphrase an old adage: ‘If it looks, sounds or acts like a duck, it just may be a duck’, has to be kept in mind. Also, if you feel the hairs on your neck tingle, take a second or third look. It may even save your life, or the life of your country.

  3. There were lots of Nazi sympathizers back then — everyone likes to follow ‘the strong horse” – as the Islamo-Fascists are fond of saying.

Our ambassador to Great Britain in the 1930’s, (Joseph Kennedy– father of JFK, RFK and the murderer), was one of Hitler’s biggest fans. So was Charles Lindbergh.

Makes you want to puke how quickly people forget.
