  1. What a nice collectible. Fortunately (or unfortunately as the case may be) My gun safe is full, and I don’t have the $2500 for the gun and package.
It would be nice, though. Sigh.

  2. Okay, Bad, it’s the money! I like combat sights (since that is what’s required in IDPA) but I have replaced all my front sights with fiber optic sights. And on my S&W 686 I installed a gold dot, which I really like (old eyes).

  3. Mr. Mxyzptlk,
I think my next purchase is going to be a Dan Wesson Commander. I shot one the other day and was amazed to see they come with an old school brass insert in the front sight. Loved it.

  4. Bad_Brad, CZ makes a nice gun. I haven’t handled the Dan Wesson, but will be on the lookout for it at the gun club. (IDPA classifier this weekend). One of the things I like about a match, everyone likes to talk about and share their pistols.

  5. Mr. Mxyzptlk
I think they are using mostly Ed Brown parts. In fact the Ed Brown bob tail and the Dan Wesson look identical. Right down to the checkering. Of course the Dan Wesson is about 3k less than the Ed Brown. I don’t really like the looks of the Bob Tail but it’s got it’s advantages for a carry weapon.

  6. You’re right, Just Sayin’ . . . however they’re very expensive, too. And a 12 month wait is about 11 months too long for me. Hey, as I get older, 12 months may not ever get here!
