Facebook admits rogue employees may have shown bias against conservatives

WaTimes: Facebook announced Monday it was sending employees out for retraining and would discontinue some of its practices as it sought to defend itself against charges of political bias against conservatives.

The online giant denied that it’s shown “systematic political bias,” but admitted employees played a bigger role than previously acknowledged in determining what news is highlighted in the trending topics section.

Facebook also acknowledged that rogue employees may have unintentionally discriminated against conservative stories or even acted with malice in “isolated improper actions.”  more

So I guess the question is, why would Facebook employ such a person in the first place?

    😛

  2. It’s all in the company culture to either ENcourage a behavior, or DIScourage a behavior.
I guess once the first “rogue employee” got away with pulling Libtard shit, the other Libtards followed. And without the boss saying “NO”, they just kept at it.
Only until their feet were held to the fire did FB uh. . .. “rethink”. . . its position and company culture attitude.
I guess when there are enough people threatening your livelihood and life by making noises about starting up a Conservative FB, you back off . . . but just enough to let the fires die down a bit. But repentant? I don’t think so. the only thing these sorry mothers are sorry about is that they got caught. .. red-handed, as it were.

  3. It’s somewhat ironic, I’m not sure that’s the right word.
About 4 years ago I made an entry for facebook.com on my DNS server to route back to the in home network.

In other words, I have prevented my entire network from ever contacting facebook for anything. I had my reasons then and they haven’t changed.

  4. I got on facebook because my son was using it to communicate when he was out in the sandbox.
Now, for over a year, I have been getting 1 or 2 emails a day trying to coax me into logging on again.
I would shitcan the entire affair, but he may go on another tour out where communication is difficult.
