Killing of gorilla to save boy at Ohio zoo sparks outrage

Reuters: More than 2,000 people signed a petition on Change.org that sharply criticized the Cincinnati Police Department and the zoo for putting down the animal and called for the child’s parents to be “held accountable for their actions of not supervising their child.”

Cincinnati police on Sunday said the parents had not been charged, but that charges could eventually be sought by the Hamilton County Prosecuting Attorney. A spokeswoman for the prosecutor did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Authorities did not identify the child or his parents. The family could not be reached on Sunday.  more

  1. gorillas in New Orleans, Detroit and Baltimore are rioting in the streets, officials are providing them safe space to destroy and loot.

DOJ to investigate Cincinnati Police Dept. regarding questionable police shooting and systematic human/primate rights violations. The FBI will take 15 FBI agents that were investigating hillary clinon and assign them to the Cincinnati zoo to curtail further systematic abuses of captive birds, invertebrates, monkeys and gorillas. The FBI hopes to change the culture of the Cincinnati Police Dept.

  2. How insensitive can these people be, if they haven’t seen the footage of the ape violently whipping the boy through the pool by the leg then please educate yourself before you speak. If you have seen the footage, then you’re either one of those “animals should have more rights than people because people are just parasites” people, then, yes, we just ignore you, because you are morally challenged individuals.
As for the rest, imagine yourself being the parent of that little lad, (who made a foolish mistake as children are inclined to do). Would you want authorities to hold off shooting the beast until they have evidence that the it intends to rip the child limb from limb, because it actually begins to do so? Of course we all agree that it’s a terrible shame that the gorilla had to die, for just being a gorilla. But seriously, have some humanity!

  3. Gorilla or not….How about we allow common sense to prevail and THEN we discuss who is really at fault. But, then again, I am a Conservative so I probably have NO feelings or compassion for human beings, (according to liberal F#cktards).

  4. I understand why the gorilla had to be shot, because it was just an unknown factor and it had the strength to rip that kid to shreds. No matter how low that probability was, it still was a probability.

It just pisses me off that 1) the fucking stupid ass parents did such a shitty job watching after their dumbass rugrat that he fell into a fucking zoo enclosure and 2) the zoo had such shitty precautions to prevent such a situation in the first place like signs, education, & better enclosure design. It was less than two years ago that a kid got shredded by wild dogs in a situation cause by the same kind of stupidity and poor enclosure design in another US city.

Adn from what I saw on the video, the fucking silverback gave that kid more good parenting in two minutes than the kid’s dumbass parents gave him his entire life up to that point.

  5. Well, the obvious solution is to erect an altar in the image of the gorilla and sacrifice the child upon it. That should make the SJWs dance with joy and flagellate themselves.

  6. Why in the world do they have gorillas in the zoo anyway?
Looking at them pisses them off
They do not have a good day ever
They all should either be rehab’ed and dropped back home or moved to a shelter where they don’t have idiots gawking at them all day.
The parents should have to pay for everything from the cost of the bullet to lost revenue of the zoo.
The world is abuzz about helicopter parents, but unsupervised children run rampant in the public spaces while the parents have their faces in their phones.

  7. In this day of being able to experience any wild encounter in virtual reality, zoos have outlived their usefulness as a teaching tool and long ago passed acceptable humane treatment of wild animals.
If it were up to me, wouldn’t have ordered killing the primate. Let the inattentive parents rescue the yard ape.
Calling it murder is just ignorant, there was no forethought or malice and the gorilla wasn’t human.

  8. I hate how it turned out and thunk those parents should be charged. How stupid they must be to let this happen . Foster care would be a better place for that kid.

  9. I’m wondering who would be dragging who if Moochelle 0bama fell into the ape tank. And which one would the progtards be wanting to shoot then?

Of course Mooch would beat the poor gorilla to death before anybody had a chance to fire a shot. Ever see that guy kick a heavy bag?
