USNews: Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont, who acknowledged recently that he is not going to be the Democratic presidential nominee, is asking supporters to send him donations of $2.70.
But it’s not for him. It’s for the Sanders delegates who can’t come up with the cash (thousands of dollars, in some cases) to travel to Philadelphia for the Democratic National Convention and stay at a hotel. All of Sanders’ nearly 1,900 delegates need to be in town “so we can have our entire political revolution represented next month in Philadelphia,” Sanders campaign manager Jeff Weaver wrote in a fundraising email.
Last chance to milk his supporters…
Not if I had a million dollars, and he was asking for only 2 cents.
