WGNO BATON ROUGE — Ascension Parish Sheriff Jeff Wiley took to Facebook Sunday shaming those who use “corrosive and disrespectful” language when speaking about police officers.
“Those that spew this hate of law enforcement and promote this regrettable divisiveness need to stand down and reflect on the environment you have helped create,” Sheriff Wiley wrote on theAscension Parish Sheriff’s office’s Facebook page.
The message was posted a couple hours after a gunman killed three officers and wounded three more in Baton Rouge.
