Thugs with clubs marching for Erdogan – in Germany

Speisa: After the failed coup in Turkey, the bullying methods from Istanbul’s streets have also reached Germany. With a population of 3,5 million Turks, Germany fears rising tensions, reportsBT.

When thousands of Turks took to the streets following President Recep Tayyip Erdogan FaceTime call, and flocked to the streets to defend the country against an attempted coup, the same thing also happened in Berlin and other German cities.

But unlike Turkey, there was no coup started in Germany. With 3.5 million Turks living in Germany, the country is the world’s largest Turkish diaspora. And when there is trouble in Turkey, it automatically creates trouble in Germany.

Via text messages between Erdogan’s supporters in Germany, thousands were directed to the German streets Friday night in support of Erdogan. More than 3,000 showed up in front of the Turkish embassy in Berlin, chanting Allahu akbar.  more

  1. I wonder what Europe will look like in 5 years? Tourism will have totally ceased as there is no point going to where the St. Peter’s basilica used to stand or where Notre Dame used to stand.

And yet the Trojan horse of mass invasion continues unabated.

I’m glad I had the opportunity too tour it when it was still Europe. I’m never going back, sadly.

  2. Wonder if Angela Merkel is smiling into her oatmeal now? Germans should find her and take care of it. Vote her out of office, delete her pension, and cancel all her benefits. She is the single one responsible, who welcomed them into Germany with her open arms. Now she is trying to browbeat the new Prime Minister of the UK about her stupid rotten EU.

  3. A group of us are taking a Viking Rhine River Cruise next month. We reserved last year before all of this started. I wouldn’t go now if I had not been so stupid as to not purchased travel insurance. However, this is probably the last trip for my husband and it was an opportunity having friends to help me if needed. Tourism will die in Europe which is very sad if this situation is quelled. One hit on one of the river ships and its all over.

  4. The Turks have been trouble in Germany since at least the 70s-80s, when I was stationed there. They were brought in/allowed in to do the “work that Germans wouldn’t do” (sound familiar?). There were certain sections of town you stayed away from, especially at night.

  5. B Woodman – what I remember most about the middle easterners being in Europe when I was there for a couple years during the time you mention, is that particularly in London and Paris – the little ME kids were all over the place on the streets begging for money like homeless people.
