ChicagoTribune– Nearly 100 people have been shot in Chicago in less than a week, pushing the number of shooting victims so far this year to more than 2,500 — about 800 more than this time last year, according to data kept by the Tribune.
Between last Friday afternoon and early Thursday, at least 99 people were shot in the city, 24 of them fatally. At least nine people were killed on Monday alone, the deadliest day in Chicago in 13 years, according to Tribune data. I know the federal courts mandated shall issue permits in Illinois a couple of years ago. Of course the state and local governments are all fighting it, I wonder how many have been able to acquire permits and to purchase guns since the mandate.

I feel sorry for the decent, law-abiding black folks who are legislatively disarmed. However, they CHOOSE to be disarmed. Choices have consequences.
California will outpace Chicago in a heartbeat when it all comes crashing down…..except for one stark contrast; some of us won’t BE disarmed by the legislature. Left-wingers call that extremism.
The Founders called this PATRIOTISM, and MAINTENANCE of the SECURITY of a FREE state.
Passing stricter gun control laws elsewhere will help…
