Breitbart: LOS ANGELES — Two women were briefly arrested on Friday night after a rally for Donald Trump in West Hollywood, a city from which the Republican presidential nominee is officially “banned.”
Earlier, a woman allegedly assaulted Alaskan artist and pro-Trump activist Tim Treadstone, better known by stage name Baked Alaska, outside of a popular Mexican restaurant in West Hollywood.
“This blond girl grabbed my iPhone and threw it as hard as she could to the pavement. And before I could pick it up, the brunette who was throwing the food at people punched me in the head. My glasses and my hat flew off,” Treadstone told Breitbart News Friday evening. “There were claw marks on my neck.” MORE

I suspect “briefly arrested” means that the cops on the scene issued them with summons to appear in court then let them go. The question is going to be whether the ADA has the balls to actually charge them. Had that happened to a gay man in West LA they probably would have spent the night in the pokey before having to post bail. Gay preference trumps woman preference in the games of PC throw cards.

Briefly arrested means detained, possibly handcuffed, and then released.
Could be that the police quelled the situation by detaining the suspects, investigated the situation, then released the suspects while taking a report to seek a warrant.
